The manufacturing process of BOPP packing tape is intricate and involves several stages to achieve its superior quality. It begins with the extrusion of polypropylene resin into a thin film. This film is then stretched biaxially, meaning it is stretched both lengthwise and widthwise, which significantly enhances its strength and clarity. The biaxial orientation process not only improves the tape’s tensile strength but also its resistance to tears and punctures. After the film is oriented, it is coated with an adhesive layer, typically acrylic or rubber-based, which gives the tape its excellent sticking properties.
The adhesive is applied uniformly to ensure consistent performance. Once coated, the tape is slit into rolls of various widths and lengths to meet different packaging requirements. This meticulous manufacturing process results in a tape that is highly durable, resistant to environmental factors, and capable of providing secure seals for packages of all sizes.
